John Hackett is the Vice President of Strategy and Development at Extendicare Health Services, Inc. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  He has been with the company since 1998, serving in both corporate and operations roles.  He maintains a license as a Nursing Home Administrator in Wisconsin.  Prior to joining Extendicare Dr. Hackett was the Director of Financial Projections for Arbor Health Care Company in Lima, Ohio.

In his current role he is responsible for leading efforts on identifying and researching innovative programs to identify opportunities presented by health reform. His focus is on creating a framework to generate new ideas, involve stakeholders, create pilots, and measure progress through the development of metrics to measure innovation activities. He also performs research on new growth opportunities and makes recommendations on development from expanding services in current states to possible new service opportunities.
