August 3 2023 The first Willard award was presented to Paul Marquardt. The Willard award is named after the extra-extraordinary Rotarian and human being Willard Bill Springer. We lost Bill almost a year ago, but not his spirit as his spirit lives on in all who knew him, especially his daughter Melissa 'Springer' Mecca, who carries on his Rotary Service Above Self as a member of Manitowoc Noon Rotary-Service Above Self. The first recipient of The Willard award is Paul Marquardt who has served the Manitowoc Community for decades and decades. First as our Postmaster. Paul joined Rotary while working, he has continued his commitment to Rotary throughout his retirement. You see Paul weekly at meetings, volunteering at all Rotary events, ringing bells for Salvation Army, counting money at the fair and telling the best stories! Congratulations Paul. Pictured are Paul Marquardt and Melissa 'Springer' Mecca.
